Moodboard

This mood board has given me many ideas for my Music Magazine. The images I have put on my mood board have been influenced through the fashion, music and artists from this genre. I have included many different existing K-pop magazine for inspirations and reference on the different Masthead fonts, popular artists, instruments, K-fashion and different color schemes.

In this mood board I chose the Seoul city skyline to portray the fast, trendy and exciting life in Korea which is where K-pop originated from.  I've included many magazine which have very bright colours on them. I will use this to my advantage by using these colours to find the perfect color scheme/pallet for my magazine. For instance the colours blue,  red, white and black are on all of these magazine making them the most popular color which I think I will choose for my magazine. The color red represents  love and power which links in with the music these artists produce as the electric tempo is very powerful and evident. Blue  is associated with  masculinity and wealth which  is clearly shown on the existing magazine where there are men  in front cover. Moreover the pictures of the artists have a very loud and bold statement to them. This is shown through their clothes and pose. I will insure to dress my model in the same style and have her/him body language to be very courageous and fierce.
The use of the quote and the different font have given me some idea to what style of font I shall be using in the future. I will make sure to try out various fonts and ask my target audience of their thoughts and feelings towards them.
I will also use these artists/bands on the cover lines either by promoting their concert by winning tickets, latest celebrity updates, interviews or album release.
In conclusion, I think that by using my creativity skill to make a mood-board opened up my mind to what I want to include in my music magazine. It's also different from what I usually do and allows me to be creative and inventive.
