Hello, my name is Kimberly Liwag and I study media at Beaverwood School. Throughout the course I have accomplished many tasks which will contribute to my final grade. My preliminary task consisted of making a school magazine which included a front cover and a contents page. For my main task I will be creating a music magazine which consists of a front cover, contents page and a double page spread.

Questionnaire Results
The questionnaire is out of 20 people between the ages of 16 and 25 as I found out that most Kpop fans and stars are that age.

Poll results
This is the result I got from the 10 day poll I've put on my blog.
I sent the link to people aged 16-25.
The result told me that most of the people I sent this poll to prefer K-pop leading at 33%, Pop and R&B tied at 22%. The lowest genre was country recieving 2%. But Hip Hop got 8% and Classic only got 5%. This tells me that they are more interested in looking and buying KPop magazine.

Questionnaire
This is the questionnaire that I have designed and handed out to people aged 16-25. I gave them to a wide range of age and genre as I wanted to know what they want or don't want. This will help me for my final ideas and contents. I will hopefully be able to analyse the results after which will give me a good idea about my audience.

Focus Group research
What are they?
Focus groups include a few participants to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas about a certain subject, in my case a Kpop Music Magazine.
What are the advantages?
By asking my target audience about the magazine I can identify errors in my own idea. This will help me as I can then change something they don’t like or remove it completely. My holding focus groups online or face to face I can see each and very one’s point of view which they can expand on through their insights. The participants are the able to build on one another’s ideas and responses. It is also very cheap and easy to gather people together online due to conference calls on social communication applications such as Skype.
What are the disadvantages?
There are a few limitations and hindrance from this way of audience research. Firstly their ideas are off of each other and not an individual thought. There may be dominant contributors who have power over the group and will change everyone’s minds. The data that will be collected will need to be analysed by a person with required skills.
My ideas on my focus group
I think that I will ask them about the cover star whether they think it should be a girl or a boy. But if I will ask this, I will need an even amount of genres.
I also think that my focus group will be done through Skype as it's an easy access most people have it.
I would also hope to bring up colour scheme ideas as well as the masthead and what they think they should name the magazine and why. I am hoping to either video or voice record this so I will be able to put it on here.
